LEKQ U2 – SURFACE MOUNTED ELECTRIC GATE LOCK WITH FAIL OPEN FUNCTIONALITY

Description

High quality electrical lock with aluminium housing and stainless steel mechanism. The handles are blocked when the lock is powered. The 20 mm continuous adjustability of the bolts allows a perfect latching / locking of the mechanism. A solid stainless steel deadbolt with a 23 mm throw guarantees a secure locking. For a fast and highly precise installation, we recommend using the Drill-Fix drilling jig.

Ruptura – Fail Open scenario: in the event of a power failure or malfunction in the electrical control system, the gate keep will automatically release, facilitating effortless manual gate opening. This feature ensures unobstructed exit pathways for safety, thereby permitting individuals to leave the area even during power outages or similar issues. Moreover, this fail-open functionality ensures that individuals can exit without obstruction, promoting safety during emergencies.

Fail Close option is the most common choice for access control. The lock is locked at all times and unlocking can be triggered by an intercom, push button, keypad, GSM/Wi-Fi device. The door can also be opened physically using the door lock key, even if there is no power supply.

ELECTRICAL LOCK – FAIL OPEN

SPECIFICATIONS

• The electric lock shall release the handles in case of power loss.
• The electric lock shall allow a key operated self-latching of the bolt.
• The continuous adjustability of the day and dead bolt shall be 20mm (3/4”) without dismantling the housing.
• The stainless steel deadbolt of the electric lock shall have a 23mm throw, in 1 turn of the key.
• The center distance of the bolts shall be 60mm.
• The electric lock should be designed and manufactured in Europe or in the United States.
• The electric lock shall be available in Silver or in one of the following RAL colors : 6005, 6009, 7016, 9005 or 9010.
• An anodised aluminium round knob shall be standard included.
• The electric lock shall, without any adjustments, be possible to install on square, round or flat profiles.
• The required current shall be 0,3A.
• The required voltage shall be 12V AC/DC.

PERFORMANCE

• The electric lock shall be specifically made for outdoor use.
• The electric lock shall have been tested for 500,000 movements.
• The electric lock shall be maintenance free (no greasing).
• The manufacturer warranty shall be 2 years.

INSTALLATION

• No welding shall be required to install the electric lock.
• The electric lock shall be installed on a 4-hole pattern with 2 hexagon socket head screws.
• The self-latching daybolt of the electric lock shall be able to be used for both left and right turning gates.
• An optional drilling jig (Drill-Fix) should be recommended for a correct installation.

MATERIAL

• The mechanism shall be made out of stainless steel.
• The housing of the mechanism shall be made out of aluminium. The powder coating shall be according to the Qualicoat standards.
• The lockbox shall be KTL / E-coated and the electric lock shall have a corrosion resistance of 500h salt spray according to ISO9227.
• The electric lock shall be fully weather- and dustproof.
• The electric lock have a UV-resistance against discoloration of 500h.
